Ukraine reduces oil production by 12% in three months

Oil production in Ukraine decreased by 12.3% to 412,000 tonnes in January-March 2016 in comparison with January-March 2015, according to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Oil production in March compared with February 2016 increased by 4.6% up to 140,000 tonnes. Compared to March 2015, oil production fell by 13.9%.

As UaPosition reported earlier, oil production in Ukraine in 2015 decreased by 11.8% to 1.801 million tonnes compared to 2014.

The largest oil and gas companies in Ukraine are the subsidiaries of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine – Ukrgazvydobuvannia and Ukrnafta, in which Naftogaz owns a controlling stake.
