Ukraine reduces gas consumption by almost 10% in May

Ukraine has dropped consumption of natural gas in May compared to May 2015 by 9.7% – to 1,229 billion cubic meters, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to the State Statistics Service, the consumption of gas in May fell by 30% compared to April 2016.
Ukraine has also reduced consumption of crude oil and gas condensate in May compared to May 2015 by 76% – to 15,600 tonnes, gasoline – by 5.8% to 41,700 tonnes, diesel fuel – by 0.7% to 266,400 tonnes.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine in 2015 reduced the consumption of natural gas as compared to 2014 by 20.9% – down to 33.727 bcm. The State Agency for Energy Efficiency forecasts a 15% decline in natural gas consumption in 2016 yoy.
