“As part of cooperation and assistance in the reconstruction of the energy system, Ukraine received from the Republic of Lithuania a powerful power autotransformer, which will be installed at a high-voltage substation of the electricity transmission system,” reported the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
It is noted that it transforms the voltage from the main to the distribution level and can provide power to up to 200,000 households.
“We are grateful to our Lithuanian friends for this important help because such equipment is extremely important for the restoration of energy infrastructure facilities after Russian shelling and ensuring the uninterrupted supply of electricity to Ukrainian consumers,” said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko.
The transportation of this autotransformer to Ukraine became the largest logistics operation ever coordinated by the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
