“The Kingdom of Sweden handed over 4 boats that can be used as pontoon crossings to the Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure. Sweden also transferred 14 sections of pontoons that can be combined into crossings of different lengths. The structures have already arrived in Ukraine. They are promptly unloaded to be sent to the required location,” informed the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.

The Ministry added that in the conditions of Russian aggression, temporary bridges are a quick and effective way to restore the transport connection of the liberated regions with the rest of the country.

Since February 24, 2022, Sweden systematically supports Ukraine. The value of only humanitarian and civil aid since the beginning of the full-scale war is 379 million euros. The means for establishing transport connections in the liberated territories are among the strategically important.
