The Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko informed on March 29, 2023, during a meeting with Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson, that Ukraine has already received seven shipments of humanitarian aid from Canada with a total weight of more than 25 tons to overcome the consequences of Russian aggression.

“Ukraine has already received 7 shipments of humanitarian aid from the Canadian side with a total weight of more than 25 tons! Currently, we are waiting for transformers of various voltage classes, which are urgently needed by the energy sector, offered by our Canadian partners,” reported the Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
Herman Halushchenko added that he discussed with his foreign colleague the need to expand sanctions against the Russian nuclear industry, prospective projects for the future, as well as further cooperation on restoring the domestic energy sector and preparing for next winter.
30 countries have already provided humanitarian aid to the energy sector of Ukraine. These are 470 cargoes with a total weight of about 6,000 tons. It is distributed among 111 enterprises of the energy sector.
