Ukraine plans to abolish taxes for working pensioners, raise pensions from October 1

As part of the pension reform, the government plans to raise pensions from October 1, which, according to preliminary estimates, will affect 5.6 million Ukrainians, as well as to abolish the taxation of working pensioners, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said during his annual report.

”We will modernize pensions for 5,620 million Ukrainian citizens… Our reform provides that from October 1, we will offer to abolish the taxation of pensions for working pensioners,” he said

Earlier, the state budget of Ukraine for 2017 lays out an increase in the subsistence level and minimum pensions twice during this year – from May 1, 2017, and from December 1, 2017.
