Ukraine increases monetary base

The monetary base in Ukraine increased by 2.6% in April compared to March to UAH 335.891 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Since the beginning of the year, the monetary base has shrunk by 0.03%, according to the data published by the NBU.
The central bank also said that the amount of out-of-bank cash grew by 3.8% in April, but has decreased by 2% since the beginning of 2016, amounting to UAH 279.758 billion.
Monetary aggregate M3 grew by 0.9% in March, and by 2.3% since the beginning of the year to UAH 1.016 trillion.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the monetary base in Ukraine in March decreased by 0.4% to UAH 327.224 billion, compared to February.
The monetary base in 2015 grew by 0.8% to UAH 336 billion.
