The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal, following the results of the 8th meeting of the Association Council between the EU and Ukraine on Monday, September 5, 2022, said that $17 billion is needed for quick restoration, of which $3.4 billion Ukraine will receive this year.

“The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, together with the World Bank, verified the damages caused by Russia for 326 billion dollars. These are direct damages that have already been verified today, physical damages,” Shmyhal said in Brussels.
According to the Minister, $105 billion of this amount is the verified amount needed to restore various facilities in Ukraine.
Ukraine’s Prime Minister added that $17 billion is needed for quick restoration, of which $3.4 billion Ukraine will receive already this year, and the rest in 2023.
Earlier, it became known that Ukraine will receive 500 million euros from the EU to support the stabilization of the state budget.
