According to the Minister, Ukraine and the European Union have signed five agreements that will bring our country closer to joining the European Union.

One of them is an agreement to provide Ukraine with budgetary support of 500 million euros.

“The funds are earmarked and will be used to provide housing for internally displaced persons, as well as to support small farmers so that they can continue and develop their business.”

Ukraine also signed an agreement on participation in the EU program on cooperation in the customs sphere.

“Customs visa-free travel with the EU will start from October 1. After signing today’s agreement, Ukraine will join the customs cooperation program with a budget of almost 1 billion euros. This will allow us to improve the qualifications of our customs officers, and participate in the development and use of European electronic systems.”

In addition, Ukraine signed an agreement on participation in the EU tax cooperation program Fiscalis.

“Now the State Tax Service of Ukraine will be able to exchange information with colleagues from the EU. There is an opportunity to use modern European IT systems in the field of taxation.”

An agreement, thanks to which the European Commission will increase the budget for grants for Ukraine by 122 million euros was also made.

“This will make it possible to ensure financing of priority projects for Ukraine and speed up their receipt due to the fact that grants can be provided directly to state authorities, local self-government and public organizations.”

By the way, an agreement on Ukraine’s participation in the EU program “Digital Europe” (2021-2027) was signed.

“This is part of the digital visa-free program with the EU.
