“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, as of the end of February 2023, the volume of international aid has exceeded $38 billion. Due to the inflow of international financial aid, international reserves have been growing since October 2022, and as of the end of January 2023, they have reached $29.9 billion,” reported the National Bank of Ukraine.

In January 2023, Ukraine received 4.2 billion dollars from international partners. In 2022, Ukraine received international financial aid for more than 32 billion dollars, including 14 billion dollars in grants.

According to Andriy Pishnyy, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, aid from international partners helped to avoid emission financing of the budget deficit in 2023 and to maintain international reserves at a sufficient level, even in conditions of longer preservation of high-security risks.
