Ukraine has already exported more than 3M tons of grain to African countries

The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported on March 29, 2023, that Ukraine has exported more than 3 million tons of agricultural products to African countries since the beginning of the Grain from Ukraine initiative.

“In general, almost 1 million tons of wheat were sent to countries in need (Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, etc.) during the operation of the Grain from Ukraine initiative. And over 3 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products were delivered to Africa during the same period,” reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

525.8 thousand tons of grain were delivered to countries that need Ukrainian agricultural products within the framework of the food humanitarian programs of the UN and Grain from Ukraine.

The Ministry adds that thanks to the Grain from Ukraine initiative, Ukraine can get closer to pre-war wheat exports to countries such as Ethiopia, Kenya and Yemen.
