Ukraine Energy Support Fund raised more than €144 million

The press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine noted on February 1, 2023, that the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has already raised EUR 144.366 million from European partners for the purchase of energy equipment destroyed by Russian missile attacks.

“As of February 1, 2023, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund received 144.366 million euros. Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Austria, Denmark, and the European Commission were donors, as well as KfW, ERRA and REKK organizations,” explained the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

It is noted that 108 million euros have been allocated from these funds, which are aimed at the purchase of energy equipment, fuel, and services to meet the critical needs of Ukrainian energy companies.

Uaposition memo: The Ukraine Energy Support Fund was established in April 2022 by the Secretariat of the Energy Community at the request of the European Commission and in agreement with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. The fund enables governments, international financial organizations, as well as private donors to provide emergency support to the Ukrainian energy sector.
