The parties discussed the situation in the energy sector of Ukraine and the importance of providing operational assistance to energy companies for repair work.

“During the meeting, Werner Kogler announced that Austria allocates 5 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, which was created by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine under the Secretariat of the Energy Community in order to accumulate donor funds for the purchase of necessary equipment for Ukrainian energy companies,” noted the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

This is the first phase of financial assistance, which, together with the equipment that has already been delivered and will be delivered to Ukraine, will significantly strengthen the ability of energy companies to repair infrastructure facilities.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed his support for Ukraine and emphasized that he was impressed by the courage of Ukrainians and the professionalism of the energy workers who, after Russian mass shelling, relentlessly repair damaged objects.
