Ukraine consumes less petrol, more diesel in H1

Ukraine reduced petrol consumption by 5.3% year-on-year in the first six months of 2016 to one million tonnes, while consumption of diesel increased by 1.7% to 1.9 million tonnes, according to the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.

Boiler oil consumption grew by 2.5 times to 367,600 tonnes.

As UNIAN reported earlier, citing data from Ukraine`s State Fiscal Service, the country imported fuel worth US$1.295 billion from January to June 2016, down 25.4% year-on-year.

During the period under review, Ukraine`s Kremenchuk oil refinery produced 158,000 tonnes of A-92 petrol (4.3% decline from the January-June 2015 period), 138,900 tonnes of A-95 petrol (2.5-times increase) and 256,300 tonnes of diesel fuel (11.9 % increase).

It also boosted jet engine fuel output by 38.1% to 77,500 tonnes, while the production of boiler oil declined by 0.7% to 162,200 tonnes.
