An investigation into the supply of Iranian kamikaze drones of the “Mohajer” and “Shahed” series to Russia should begin immediately.

“We drew attention to the alarming situation surrounding Iran’s transfer of “Mohajer” and “Shahed” UAVs to Russia, in particular at the end of August 2022,” Khrystyna Hayovyshyn said.

The Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to the UN called on “all states to consider any possible steps to stop the supply from Iran of such UAVs, missiles or conventional weapons that could be used in Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine.”

According to Khrystyna Hayovyshyn, the Russian Federation’s use of long-range Iranian drones for attacks on the civilian population and infrastructure facilities is a flagrant violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action adopted by the UN Security Council Resolution in 2015.
