“Horrific video of an unarmed Ukrainian POW executed by Russian forces merely for saying “Glory to Ukraine”. Another proof this war is genocidal. It is imperative that Karim Khan launches an immediate ICC investigation into this heinous war crime. Perpetrators must face justice,” tweeted Ukrainian Foreign Minister.

Earlier, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, sent to the international partners and fellow ombudsmen a video of the shooting of a captured Ukrainian serviceman by Russian troops as an example of another war crime of the Russian Federation.

The video where Russian soldiers shot a Ukrainian serviceman for the phrase “Glory to Ukraine” appeared on social networks on March 6, 2023.
