“Following Putin’s annexation attempts, Ukraine has officially informed the International Court of Justice that this step blatantly violates its legally binding Order on Provisional measures issued on March 16th. We urge the Court to hear the case on the merits as soon as possible,” said Dmytro Kuleba.

It should be noted, that the International Court of Justice in The Hague, known as the UN court, on March 16 made an interim decision in favor of Ukraine in the lawsuit against Russia. According to it, Russia should “immediately stop the military operations, which began on February 24 on the territory of Ukraine.” It also applies to armed groups controlled by Moscow.
