The document provides that Ukrainians will be able to enter Guatemala for 90 days without a visa, and citizens of Guatemala – to Ukraine.

“Ukraine and Guatemala have friendly and partnership relations. Guatemala firmly supports our country in countering Russian aggression. When the visa-free agreement enters into force, this will help strengthen people-to-people contacts, and promote the development of business, cultural exchanges, and tourist trips,” Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said after the approval of the draft agreement at the government meeting.

Since 2009, Ukrainians could enter Guatemala without a visa, and Guatemalans had to obtain a mandatory visa to cross the border of Ukraine.

It is expected that the mutual regime of visa-free travel for all categories of citizens is established on a permanent basis.
