Ukraine and France signed an agreement on the supply of weapons

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted on October 13, 2022, that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, and the Minister of Defense of France, Sebastien Lecornu, signed the Agreement on the provision of grants to Ukraine in the security and defense sector.

“By the authorization of the Cabinet of Ministers Ukraine signed the Agreement on the France grants in security&defence sector with Sebastien Lecornu. The agreement enables supplies of French weapons to Ukraine, according to the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of France Emmanuel Macron. Thank you France for supporting Ukraine’s army,” Oleksiy Reznikov wrote on Twitter.

The head of the Ministry of Defense, Sebastian Lecornu, announced on Twitter that the agreement provides for the creation of a special fund with a budget of 100 million euros to support Ukraine.

“This is a new aspect of France’s lasting military support for Ukraine, in the face of Russian aggression.”

French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed France’s commitment to increase support for Ukraine during a conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on October 10, 2022.
