Ukraine and Canada will expand Free Trade Agreement – Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine

Ukraine and Canada agreed to continue negotiations on extending the Free Trade Agreement in Services and Investment after the end of the war.

“We are grateful to our Canadian partners for their ongoing commitment to provide economic recovery and transformation funds for Ukraine, support small and medium-sized businesses, and rebuild destroyed property and infrastructure. We are also interested in expanding trade with Canada through the further liberalization of the Free Trade Agreement in Services and Investment.”

The parties also agreed to continue an active dialogue on attracting Canadian economic, financial and expert assistance to critically important sectors of the Ukrainian economy as well as further cooperation in expanding the presence of Canadian investors in Ukraine.
