“We highly appreciate the help of Britain, its Prime Minister. Therefore, I signed an order to award Boris Johnson with Grigory Marazli Honorary Badges of I, II, III degrees,” Trukhanov said.

Thus, Johnson automatically receives the title of honorary citizen of Odessa.

According to Trukhanov, if the entire world community had taken the same position as the people of Britain, the Ukrainians would have defeated the invaders long ago.

According to him, Johnson was the first Briton who received the title of honorary citizen of Odessa in the entire history of its existence since 1862. The Mayor also thanked the Prime Minister of Britain for his financial assistance and weapons.

Earlier, the mayor of Ukrainian Vasilkov in the Kyiv region, Natalya Balasinovich, announced that local authorities had decided to name the embankment in honor of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
