Prime Minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson awarded the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with the Sir Winston Churchill Award.

“Today Prime Minister Boris Johnson presented the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Sir Winston Churchill Leadership Award for incredible courage, defiance and dignity in the face of Putin’s barbaric invasion. The UK will always stand with Ukraine.”
Zelenskyy reacted to the award and noted that it was an “extraordinary honor” for him.
“This award would have been impossible if the entire Ukrainian people had not risen to defend freedom from tyranny, which is trying to return us to the worst. Ukraine and the whole of Europe will always remember those who, without hesitation, came to the aid of our people and the very idea of freedom. The democracies of the world are capable of stopping any tyranny. We are capable of stopping any evil that threatens our freedom. Only the joint leadership of the entire free world can be enough for this.”
