Over UAH 1 bln spent on reconstruction of Odesa-Reni highway till date: Groysman

Over UAH 1 billion has already been allocated for the reconstruction of the Odesa-Reni road, which is of state significance, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wrote on Facebook.

Repairs are ongoing in eight road sections that are 36km in length and a two-layer coating has been restored on 12.8km.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine`s Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan had stated that repairs on the Odesa-Reni highway were expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

On May 11, the prime minister during a conference call said the Cabinet of Ministers had allocated UAH 134 million for the construction of the Odesa-Reni highway, which is part of a pan-European transport corridor.

Earlier, the government noted that reconstruction of the Odesa-Reni highway would boost transport traffic capacity by 2.5 times by improving logistical development in the region.
