Two Ukrainian soldiers wounded near Avdiyivka in Donbas in last day

No Ukrainian soldiers were killed in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, in the last day, but two were wounded, according to Ukrainian presidential administration`s press secretary for Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) issues Oleksandr Motuzyanyk.
”In the past 24 hours, there was no killed in action among Ukrainian troops, but two were wounded near the town of Avdiyivka,” Motuzyanyk said at a press briefing in Kyiv on Saturday, May 15.
In his words, Russian proxies again violated the ceasefire in Popasna district in the Luhansk sector. The village of Luhanske and Avdiyivka were also under attack.
”During shelling, the enemy repeatedly used mortars. There were seven attacks,” he said.
In his words, three locations, namely the town of Maryinka, the villages of Novohryhorivka and Shyrokyne in the Mariupol sector, were shelled by combined Russian-separatist forces.
”Occupiers have repeatedly used infantry combat vehicles and mortars, and a sniper was also engaged. All in all, the Mariupol sector saw eight enemy attacks in the past day,” Motuzyanyk said.
The total number of enemy attacks on Saturday was 16, the press center of the ATO headquarters reported on Facebook on Sunday.
They used 120mm mortars, which are banned under the Minsk peace agreements, near Avdiyivka, while Shyrokyne was shelled with the use of 82mm mortars and grenade launchers, it said.
The situation remained tense in the early hours of Sunday when the enemy continued shelling Avdiyivka and Luhanske, using grenade launchers and small arms, it added.
