Trust Fund in Solidarity with Ukraine will start operating on May 5 – President of the European Council

The European Union will announce the launch of the Trust Fund in Solidarity with Ukraine On May 5.

“We will take all measures (to support Ukraine – ed.). We had the opportunity to discuss the details of such assistance with Mr. President of Ukraine. A few weeks ago, when we spoke on the phone, we decided to establish a trust fund in solidarity with Ukraine. It will be an international donors’ conference together with Poland, Sweden with the support of the European Commission and all member states, ” Michel said.

According to him, the IMF, the World Bank, and other organizations will take part in mobilizing funds to support Ukraine. It is intended to direct these funds in such a way that Ukraine can do all the social benefits.

The President of the European Council also noted that the EU has strategic ideas to accelerate the process of rebuilding Ukraine.

“I am very optimistic that in the coming days and weeks we will be able to express concrete ideas about the nature of this joint work,” the President of the European Council said.
