“I imagine my family in one of those homes, now destroyed and black. I see my granddaughters running away in panic. There is no way the war can be acceptable in the 21st century.”

The UN Secretary-General arrived in Ukraine after a visit to Moscow. There, he met with Putin and suggested him set up a coordination group to agree on “green corridors” for civilians and humanitarian aid.

Antonio Guterres said that Russia and the United Nations had different views on what was happening in Ukraine, and the General Assembly condemned the Russian invasion.
