“By the end of this year, a major change will take place on the battlefield in favor of Ukraine. I hope that this year we will see a counteroffensive campaign and it will be successful.”

According to him,  our army needs more missiles and artillery to push back Russian forces during a counteroffensive.

“I think it’s a step-by-step movement. We give them (the enemy. – ed.) proof that we can use their (Western weapons. – ed.) with precision and sophistication and we get more, and longer range,” Reznikov said.

In addition, the Minister is confident that Western partners will provide Ukraine with projectiles for HIMARS (high-mobility artillery rocket systems) which are capable of hitting targets at a distance of 300 kilometres.

Oleksiy Rezkikov praised HIMARS for their accuracy and range, noting that they had greatly helped reduce the death toll among the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas.
