The main carriers of missiles of this type are the MiG-31 fighter as well as Tu-22M3 and Tu-160 bombers.

This is the most advanced type of missile that Russia has in its arsenal. After being put into service in 2018, only a few dozen of them were manufactured. The warhead on the Kh-47M is 500 kg, and the speed of the rocket is from 3,500 to 12,000 km/h.

Also, the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces noted that the tactical and technical characteristics of this missile do not allow the air defense means existing in the Armed Forces of Ukraine to effectively detect and destroy these types of missiles.

“Only a few combat uses of these missiles have been recorded since February 24. The Russian army is trying to use the Kh-47M “Kinzhal” missiles for extremely important purposes.”
