The Russian Federation fired 16 missiles at Ukraine’s southern city

The Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration noted that Russian troops massively bombarded Mykolaiv (a city in Ukraine’s south) with 16 S-300 missiles. The buildings and transport infrastructure of Mykolaiv were destroyed and damaged as a result of shelling on August 29, 2022. Two people died and 24 were injured.

“According to the information of Operational Command “South”, on the afternoon of August 29, after 3:15 p.m., Mykolaiv was subjected to massive shelling by sixteen S-300 anti-aircraft missiles, which led to numerous destruction and damage to private and multi-storey buildings, and transport infrastructure facilities.”

After the air strike, Vitaliy Kim reported that the number of injured had increased to 24 people, and two had been killed.

Occupiers also shelled Ochakiv of the Ochakiv community and the village of Chervone of the Voskresenske community. As a result of  the shelling, the building was partially destroyed, and the gas pipeline was damaged. There are no casualties.

Earlier, the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkovych also commented on the event.

“Mykolaiv. Information as of 4:30 p.m. on August 29. Residential buildings and educational institutions are hit. It is known about 2 dead and 5 injured. Rescue, emergency services and utility workers are working on the ground.”
