The organizers of the 2022 World Games have allocated 54,000 dollars for Ukraine to rebuild the country’s sports infrastructure. Throughout the tournament, a charity event continued, where every willing fan could help Ukrainian athletes.

From every ticket sold at the competition, one US dollar was transferred to the needs of Ukraine. Thus, 54,000 dollars were raised during the entire tournament, which lasted 11 days.

According to the decision of the International World Games Association (IWGA), this money will be used to restore the sports infrastructure that was damaged or destroyed as a result of the war waged by Russia.

At the 2022 World Games, Ukraine won 45 awards and took third place in the medal count. At these Games, “blue-yellow” showed the best performance in their history at these competitions.

The Ukrainians surpassed several of their own records at once. In 2022, Ukraine was represented at the World Games by 103 athletes in 19 sports.
