Dutch military police Marechaussee will be sent to Ukraine to assist in the investigation of Russian war crimes. The country’s authorities are due to make a decision on April 29.

It is very important to quickly collect all evidence of war crimes.

During the investigation into the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in 2014, the Netherlands gained the necessary knowledge in this area. Marechaussees will work in places where war crimes may have been committed and will submit materials to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.
