When asked whether the work on the seventh package of sanctions has already begun, the representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry said: “Of course, yes.”

“Sanctions should be even sharper: in terms of gas, Russia can still sell, in the context of disconnecting all Russian banks from the SWIFT system. I am talking first of all about Gazprombank,” Pawel Jablonski said.

We need an embargo on technologies that can still be supplied to Russia and used by Russia in its industry.”

Jablonski stressed the need to confiscate Russian assets in Europe, not just freeze them. However, work on this issue is already underway.

On June 3, the EU Council adopted the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, including a postponed embargo on offshore oil and oil products from Russia. The discussion between the EU countries on the sixth package lasted for almost a month.
