The EU has committed to help with Ukrainian post-war reconstruction and is setting up a special fund

Leaders of the European Union have pledged to support Ukraine and help with reconstruction.

Details: Paragraph 8 of the Summit conclusions states that the EU is committed to providing support to the Ukrainian government for urgent needs because of the devastation and enormous losses that Ukraine has suffered as a result of Russian military aggression. In addition, after the war, they will help to rebuild the country.

In order to assist, the European Council should immediately begin preparations for the establishment of the Solidarity Trust Fund in Ukraine.

The EU “calls on the Commission to continue to provide technical assistance to help Ukraine carry out the necessary reforms,” the statement said.

In addition, the European Council calls for an implementation of an international fundraising conference within the Solidarity Trust Fund of Ukraine.
