The Belarusian battalion became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Belarusian battalion named after Kastus Kalinovsky joined the Armed Forces, and the soldiers took the oath.

“On this important day for Belarusian history, volunteers of the Kastus Kalinovsky Battalion took the oath. Our battalion is part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our volunteers wrote the Vow in Belarusian. We are confident that this text will become the basis of the oath for Belarusian army in the future”.

Uaposition memo: The battalion was created after the Russian attack on Ukraine. On March 25, Belarusians celebrate Freedom Day, an unofficial national holiday, the anniversary of the emergence of the first national Belarusian State, the Belarusian people’s Republic.

Vincent Konstantyn Kalinovsky is one of the regional leaders of the Polish January uprising in the lands of modern Lithuania and Belarus, directed against the Russian Empire.
