Sweden wants tangible results from Ukraine`s reforms

Swedish Minister for Enterprise and Innovation Mikael Damberg says that Sweden as the fourth largest donor of Ukraine wants to see tangible results of the reforms being implemented in the country.
”We`re proud that we`re the fourth largest bilateral donor in the Ukrainian process of reforms. That is why we insist on concrete results of the reforms,” he said at the fifth Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum held in Kyiv on June 13.
He also stressed that anti-corruption efforts should be one of the key reforms in Ukraine.
Sweden expects that the Ukrainian government will make serious steps in combatting corruption, according to Damberg.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine Andreas von Beckerath stated that Sweden provides about EUR 25 million in financial aid to Ukraine annually to support the implementation of the reforms. About 50% of the funds allocated is spent on sustainable development and energy efficiency programs.
