State Savings Bank of Ukraine Oschadbank posts over UAH 400 mln profit since year`s start

PJSC State Savings Bank of Ukraine Oschadbank posted UAH 410.7 million in net profit in the first nine months of 2016, as compared to a loss of UAH 5.4 billion in the same period last year, the press service of the bank reported.

Bank`s operating income in the period under review exceeded UAH 7 billion, including almost UAH 5 billion in net interest income and UAH 1.5 billion in net fee and commission income. At the same time, net fee and commission income grew by 35.8%, or UAH 402.5 million, as compared to the same period last year.

Oschadbank also reported its assets increased by 20.2%, or UAH 32.2 billion, to UAH 191.3 billion as of October 1. The volume of lending grew by 4.2%, and investments in securities were up by 9.7%. The bank`s statutory capital grew by 107.3%, while the volume of corporate and individual deposits increased by 37.9%. The regulatory capital adequacy ratio of the bank amounted to 10.74% as of October 1, 2016.

UNIAN memo. Oschadbank was registered as a legal entity on December 31, 1991, and is one of the largest banks in Ukraine, with 100% of its shares belonging to the state. In 2015, the bank posted a loss of UAH 12.3 billion in connection with provisioning for potential losses on assets.
