SBU detains LPR sniper in Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained in Kyiv a resident of Luhansk region who worked as a sniper for the LPR terrorist organization and participated in the fighting against Ukrainian government forces, the SBU press center has reported.
“Even in the ranks of the Soviet Army citizen H. acquired the military profession of a sniper-shooter. In June and July this year, fulfilling the orders of one of the leaders of LPR terrorists, Bakai, he participated in over a dozen armed clashes of fighters with Ukrainian troops, including near the villages of Rozkishne, Metalist, and the urban village of Stanytsia Luhanska. He also fired from sniper positions at the Ukrainian security forces who liberated the town of Lysychansk. Fearing the offensive of the ATO forces and realizing the inevitability of punishment, the sniper fled to the capital, trying to get lost among other displaces persons from the east,” the press center reported.
The detainee told law enforcement officers that he had received remuneration in Russian rubles for participation in the hostilities.
