Savchenko trial in Voronezh

The Soviet District Court of Voronezh is considering the extension of the arrest of Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko.
Savchenko’s defense lawyers Mark Feigin and Nikolai Polozov report on Twitter.
“A meeting to extend the arrest of Nadia Savchenko will be held at 10:00 a.m. on August 27 in the Soviet District Court of the city of Voronezh,” Feigin wrote.
The lawyer is confident that the talks in Minsk, which were attended by Presidents of Ukraine and Russia, should affect the outcome of the case, including the process to extend the arrest.
“We arrived to attend the meeting on the measure of restraint for Nadia Savchenko. The court is already picketed by guys with placards, who came by VAZ 2109 with the number 666, Moscow Region. The Chief Bailiff ordered the subordinates to let the people into the hall. Now the hall begins to be filled with journalists and the public,” Polozov noted.
To remind, Ukrainian aviatrix Nadia Savchenko is in the pre-trial detention of the Russian Voronezh after in July she was kidnapped by militants in Luhansk region and brought to Russia. The court decided to conclude Savchenko under arrest until August 30, she is in a solitary confinement in the Voronezh jail.
