Russians shelled the Odesa region with drones, a public infrastructure object was hit: photos

The head of the Odesa District Military Administration Yuriy Kruk noted that tonight, on April 19, 2023, Russian troops hit a public infrastructure facility in the Odesa region (south of Ukraine) with Shahed drones, which caused a fire.

“At night, the Russian army carried out an attack with Shahed-136 type UAVs in the Odesa region. Thanks to the successful work of our defense forces, most of Russian UAVs were destroyed, but, unfortunately, there was a hit on a public infrastructure object,” reported the head of the Odesa District Military Administration.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. Measures are being taken to contain the fire, and units of the State Emergency Service and other structures are involved at the scene.

Later, the Operational Command Pivden (South) clarified that a recreational infrastructure object was damaged.

“At night, the Russian army attacked Odesa with kamikaze drones of the Shahed-131/136 type. 10 attack drones were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense forces. A hit to a recreational infrastructure object was recorded. The fire was quickly extinguished by rescue services. No people were injured,” said the Operational Command Pivden.
