Russians shelled the Kherson region 71 times, 16 civilians were killed

Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration said that Russian troops shelled the territory of the Kherson region (south of Ukraine) 71 times on December 24, 2022. They fired from artillery, multiple rocket launchers and mortars.

“The Russian army attacked the regional center 41 times. Russian soldiers covered the center of Kherson with massive fire – civilians were killed, civilian buildings were destroyed. Industrial premises, medical facilities, private and apartment buildings also came under Russian fire,” noted the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

According to Yaroslav Yanushevych, the Russian army killed 16 people, including 3 employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who died during the demining of territories in the Beryslav district on December 24, 2022. Another 64 people were injured of varying degrees of severity.

Law enforcement officers are already investigating this terrorist act. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder.
