The Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk informed that the Russian army shelled two districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region (east of Ukraine) – Nikopol and Synelnykove on February 19, 2023. Two civilians were injured.

“Using heavy artillery, Russian troops shelled Nikopol, Marganets, and Myriv communities. In Marganets territorial community, a 70-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman were injured as a result of the Russian shelling. Both were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds,” informed the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.
Mykola Lukashuk also said that in one of the villages of the community, a fire broke out in a residential building due to Russian attack, and the fire was promptly extinguished. As a result of the shelling, commercial building was destroyed, and another one was damaged. Two cars and a motorcycle were destroyed. In addition, nine private residential buildings were mutilated.
“There is also destruction in the Myriv community. Russian soldiers destroyed commercial building and a tractor. Four residential buildings and power lines were damaged by shelling. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Almost 360 subscribers were left without electricity, currently the electricity supply has been partially restored,” added the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council.
Russian heavy artillery also hits the Velykomykhailiv community in the Synelnykove district. A power line was damaged there, no one was injured.
