Russians caused more than UAH 813M worth of damage to the southern Ukrainian city

The Mayor of Mykolaiv (southern city of Ukraine) said on August 20, 2022, that a total of about 1,500 complaints from city residents regarding damage to residential buildings were recorded.

“As of today, Russian occupiers have caused more than UAH 813 million[$22 million – ed.] worth of destruction to Mykolaiv. In total, about 250 communal facilities were damaged, including kindergartens, schools, hospitals, cultural and sports facilities.”

He noted that a total of about 1,500 complaints from city residents regarding damage to residential buildings were recorded.

“Today we are working to restore people’s housing as soon as possible and prepare it for winter.”

The mayor of the city also reported that as a result of the shelling of the city on the night from Friday to Saturday, no one was injured, but at around 03:00 a.m. six residential buildings were damaged, in which more than 60 windows were broken.

“According to the military administration, Russian terrorists attacked the city with S-300 missiles,” the mayor said.
