Russian VTB Bank to increase its Ukrainian subsidiaries capital by four bln

VTB Group is preparing a decision to increase the capital of its Ukrainian subsidiaries PJSC VTB Bank and JSC BM Bank by UAH 4 billion.
“The Group plan to complete the necessary corporate procedures to increase capital of the banks in the first quarter of 2015. The total amount of the capital increase will be up to UAH 4 billion (about $ 265 million),” reads the statement of the VTB press service.
The head of the financial institution Andrei Kostin believes that these measures will help to maintain the trust of Ukrainian customers: “This important decision is made primarily for the development of our business in Ukraine.”
