Russian troops took another 34 children from Ukraine’s Kherson region to Russia

Russian soldiers continue the forced deportation of Ukrainian children from the Kherson region of Ukraine (the south of the country). Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration stressed that 34 more Ukrainian children were forcibly taken to the Russian town of Anapa.

“Russian troops kidnapped 34 children from the village of Preobrazhenka in the Myrne territorial community. They were taken to the Russian city of Anapa. This was reported by the head of the Myrne settlement military administration, Valentyna Holovata. The parents were promised to return the children by the end of this week, but then the time of stay was extended again [allegedly on vacation – ed.] for another week,” said the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Earlier, Russians deported 12 pupils of the Oleshky boarding school from the territory of the Kherson region to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

In total, 8,732 Ukrainian children are considered deported to the Russian Federation, and another 238 are considered missing as of October 2022, since the beginning of the full-scale war.
