Russian troops massively shelled the Kherson region, high-rise buildings were damaged

The police of the Kherson region noted that Russian soldiers massively shelled the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine – targeting high-rise buildings and infrastructure facilities. One civilian was injured as a result of this attack.

“Russians continue to massively bombard the Kherson region with artillery and rocket launchers, deliberately targeting high-rise buildings and infrastructure facilities in order to cause as much damage as possible, as well as casualties among the civilian population,” says the police of the Kherson region.

Windows in apartment buildings were broken, balconies were crushed, and gas pipes were damaged after powerful explosions in the regional center. Russian troops also shelled the settlements of Beryslav district, Hola Prystan community, and the suburbs of Kherson. Residential buildings were destroyed there.

In addition, Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration noted that Russian military shelled the territory of the Kherson region 17 times on December 5, 2022. They attacked the peaceful settlements of the region with artillery, anti-aircraft guns, mortars and tanks. One civilian was injured.
