Russian troops damaged more than 25,000 km of roads and 340 bridges in Ukraine

“As a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine, more than 25,000 km of highways were damaged or destroyed, of which 9,000 km are roads of state importance, and 340 artificial structures in 15 regions. Now our priority is the restoration of bridges and important roads, which are necessary to provide the population and the military with necessary things,” explained the First Deputy of Ukravtodor, Ukraine’s State Road Agency.

Andrii Ivko emphasized that the road workers were working on the restoration of roads in the liberated territories of Ukraine exclusively in coordination with the military and the State Emergency Service, which are engaged in demining.
