Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 76 times in the past 24 hours – 37 times in the Donetsk sector, 27 times in the Mariupol sector and 12 times in the Luhansk sector – according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters.
”In the Donetsk sector, the enemy fired 152mm heavy artillery systems on the village of Arkhanhelske. In the evening, the militants launched more than a hundred of 122mm caliber shells on the town of Avdiyivka, as well as three shells of the same caliber on the village of Pisky,” the report says.

In the area of Avdiyivka – northern suburbs of Horlivka, the occupiers actively used mortar fire, including banned 120mm caliber, grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns.
”Moreover, Russia`s hybrid military force held a massive shelling from tanks on Avdiyivka, having launched more than four dozen shells. Near the Svitlodarsk bridgehead, the militants fired from 82mm mortars and infantry fighting vehicles, as well as an antitank missile system on the village of Novoselivka Druha. The enemy fired anti-aircraft guns on the Ukrainian fortified positions in Avdiyivka, and the villages of Luhanske and Pisky. The enemy snipers attacked the Ukrainian defenders of the villages of Pisky and Opytne,” the report reads.
”In the Mariupol sector, the enemy launched more than six dozen 122mm artillery shells on the village of Shyrokyne, as well as about seven shells on the Ukrainian fortified positions in the village of Talakivka. The Russian-backed mercenaries fired mortars, grenade launchers and machine guns in the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Taramchuk and Talakivka. They fired grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns on the villages of Shyrokyne, Vodiane, Novotroyitske and Hnutove, as well as automatic mounted grenade launchers in the villages of Novohryhorivka and Starohnativka. The militants fired from infantry fighting vehicles in Maryinka. Additionally, a sniper was active in Maryinka and Shyrokyne,” the press center said.
In Luhansk region, the occupiers fired grenade launchers on the Ukrainian positions in the villages of Novo-Oleksandrivka, Novozvanivka and Zhovte, as well as small arms in the town of Zolote. They fired 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms on the village of Stanytsia Luhanska. A sniper was working near Novo-Oleksandrivka.
”Militant attempts to conduct aerial reconnaissance were recorded twice in the last day,” the headquarters added.
