Russian troops attack Ukraine 33 times in last day

Russian troops attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 33 times in the past 24 hours, according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters.

In the Mariupol sector, the occupiers violated the ceasefire regime 22 times. They fired 82mm and 120mm mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the town of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka. In Pavlopil, militants fired 152mm cannon artillery and mortars of both calibers. A sniper was active near the villages of Talakivka, Hnutove and Shyrokyne.

In the Donetsk sector, eight attacks were reported. Russia`s hybrid military used infantry fighting vehicles and 82mm mortars to attack Ukrainian positions in Novhorodske and Nyzhne Lozove. In addition, they fired 120mm mortars to attack the villages of Zaitseve and Luhanske. Near the town of Avdiyivka militants continued provocations using 82mm and 120mm mortars, 122mm and 152mm artillery, tanks, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms.

In the Luhansk sector, militants violated the ceasefire regime three times. They opened fire from machine guns on the Ukrainian positions toward the village of Novotoshkivske. They also fired 120mm mortars in the village of Krymske.
