Russian State Duma says about growth of corruption, shaky occupation power in Crimea

Low level of organization of the occupation authorities in Crimea has led to negative consequences in the peninsula, State Duma MP from a Just Russia party Mihail Bryachak said in an interview with ”Week`s arguments. Crimea.”
”As of today, the position of the United Russia party has been strongly shaken due to the ongoing events in Crimea related to the low performance of local authorities. They are formed, coordinated and controlled by one party. In fact, a monopoly of power has been formed, which leads to negative results in ensuring the well-being of people. Unfortunately, the only growth there is the growth of corruption,” Bryachak said.
According to him, a large number of people in Russia, as well as in the occupied Crimea have already understood this.
UNIAN memo. In March 2014, after the Russian troops invaded Crimea, Russia annexed the Ukrainian peninsula, having organized a sham ”referendum” on self-determination.
The self-proclaimed Crimean government said that 96.77% of participating voters had supported Crimea`s accession to Russia.
Ukraine designated the Crimean referendum as illegitimate.
On March 18, 2014, the Kremlin signed the so-called ”Treaty of Accession” regarding Crimea and Sevastopol, Russia`s naval base in the Black Sea.
Western countries did not recognize the annexation of Crimea and introduced a series of economic sanctions against Russia and Crimea.
