“As of this time, more than 440 graves have been established. It is still too early to say about the number of people buried there. There is already clear evidence of torture and mockery of people. What’s more, there is evidence that Russian soldiers, whose positions were not far from this place, shot at the buried just for fun.”

In addition, torture chambers were found in the territories liberated from Russian troops. Civilians were abused there and people, in particular, foreigners, were detained.

“Seven citizens of the Republic of Sri Lanka, students of the Kupyansk Medical College, were captured by Russian soldiers in March and kept in the basement. Only now, after the liberation of the Kharkiv region, these people were saved, they are provided with proper medical care.”

Ukrainian President emphasized that Russia repeated in Izyum what it did in Bucha [Kyiv region – ed.]. And the world must react to this.

It also became known that 99% of bodies exhumed in Izyum have traces of violent death.

The President welcomed the intentions of the UN to send a mission to Izyum, the place of mass burials.
